View Full Version : i used to be anorexic and im trying to eat healthy now. did i eat good today?

ok so i used to be anorexic, and im really trying to eat healthier now! i need to kno if i ate healthy enough today, and what i might be able to eat as a snack later tonight (its 6:34 p.m.). im thirteen yrs old, 5'4, and 105 lbs (u can see i gained weight since my anorexic days)

breakfast:
-a fried egg (probly like 90 cal i would estimate)
-cup of coffee
-one orange sectioned like grapefruit
-small pc of sausage

lunch:
-green beans
-carton of lowfat milk
-1/2 bagel with 2 tablespoons cream cheese

Dinner:
-one orange sectioned like grapefruit
-a peice of chicken breast, baked, top lightly with barbeque sauce
-a slice of whole wheat whole grain bread


so what can i eat later as a snack that would be healthy for me? did i eat ok today? please help me! i really need to eat healthier, which i only recently started trying to do. please my life depends on it!

Eat tons of fresh fruit and veggies! They will give you vitamins and you will feel full but they will never make you fat!

It is not healthy to just eat fruits and vegetabls. Your body needs all kinds of other nutrients. (protein, dairy, and fat....yes fat your body does need some in your diet)

You also must keep your calorie intake up to at least 1800 calories a day if not more given your condition. Call your local health department and ask them where you can get a nutritionist at. If you ever need someone to talk to feel free to talk to me, I am a good listener.



so what can i eat later as a snack that would be healthy for me? did i eat ok today? please help me! i really need to eat healthier, which i only recently started trying to do. please my life depends on it!

Your still not eating enough. You need to add more servings veggies, more fruit and more dairy and more carbs and more protien.

You did alright. I'd have some fruit now, like a peach, coz it contains potassium, something your heart will need, and maybe some carrots. Or you could even bake some cookies or a big pretzel. You will feel better about snacks if you are the baker. :D Good job!

screw the negative commments!! you are TRYING and that is all that counts sweetie. why dont you try for dinner next time a sweet potato or squash its WONDERFUL with cinnamon sprinkled on it. for a snack try a peach, or have you tried walnuts and yogurt its really good, or some celery with peanut butter on it, or even a small chocolate protein shake with a banana and peanut butter in it!! its really good too. (you can get a protein shake mix at like GNC health food store and it is GOOD for you because its protein and has all the good vitamins and amounts of fats. good luck

no offense but it sounds like you are still suffering from an ED. I have a combo of Bullemia/anorexia nervosa and struggle severely every freaking day and minute till i go to bed and not think about it!! it is so hard. you ate good but not enough!! are u active in physical activity? or what? I try and i say try to go running/ weight lift at least 5 days week and still find me fat! it sux!! I had an eating disorder since i was 13 and i am now 28 and still suffering from it. Physically i am healthy but emotionally i am suffering big time. Tired of all the therapy and counseling so i gave up on it!! when did you start the ED? dont let yourself get bad!! please take it from me!! i almost died from starving myself when i was your age i got down to 80 lbs and was the same height as you are. if you want to talk contact me at this username and would love to help you out, you are still young and have a long life ahead of you. dont lose out like i did!!`

if it's veggies you like put peanutbutter in your celery, even add raisins if you like

Peanut butter and raisins are good together. I love them on a sandwich.
