(Greece, N.Y.) - Drivers and shoppers in Greece will be happy to know that years of construction on Ridge Road should wrap up later this year.
Since 2004, the project was something people had to deal with, going to and from Greece Ridge Mall or other nearby shops.
The NYS Department of Transportation said work is in the final phase, and it should be finished by no later than November.
State Senator Joe Robach (R-Greece) is looking forward to the project's completion.
"The design should last us for another 25, 30 years," said Senator Robach. "Ridge Road, one of the busiest roads in Monroe County, will be a safe, good corridor for people to travel on."
The project's $34 million price tag was entirely funded by the state.
