New York is as cold as the exteriors of its high-rises.
There is no way I would visit New York under these extremes. My prayer is with those who have to submit to defacto martial-law and American extremism. There is nothing there that important to give up my dignity for.
Pedestrians can be stopped and searched in New York City for any reason. Black people bear the brunt of the searches, followed by Hispanics and Latinos. Leaving a restaurant in your finest duds with a beautiful or handsome companion on your arm does not exclude their priviledge to devalue you. I avoid New York for its flagrant racism.
