I sick after 2 weeks...? I go running/walking a mile after school almost everyday...I eat a healthy breakfast, lunch, fruit for snack, and a good dinner. I also only drink water..and take a multivitamin every morning.
Since this was my new years resolution, I just hit the 2 week mark and was excited because i kept up BUT I got extremely sick. I got a fever, and my muscles and joints were extremely sore, my eyes got EXTREMELY sore, I got headaches, was nauseated and I was exausted...however i did not have a sore throat, cough, or runny nose or anything...this lasted about 3 days and I think now I am finally over it...
is my body just adjusting or something?
could this be due to my new eating/drinking habits or did I just get sick by chance?

Probably just the flu or a cold.
Think of how much worse it could have been if you weren't taking such good care of yourself!

Funny thing about running around in the winter.. you sometimes catch the flu. Explains all your symptoms. And sore throat, cough & runny nose aren't symptoms of the flu. Best of luck.

You get sick from germs not from running around in the winter. :fryingpan:

Wearing yourself out and subjecting your body to not optimal conditions makes you more vulnerable to germs? I think...

Yes it lowers your resistance but ultimately you can only get sick from being exposed to germs. You could run around naked outside all winter if you wanted to. You could get hypothermia and frostbite but unless exposed to a germ it wouldn't make you sick.

Is bronchitis a virus? If you are in the cold, and get all the gooey crud dripping into your lungs, and there are no germs, can you still get it? I'm really asking. Is it really possible to never get sick if you never are exposed to a germ. I'll exclude cancer and other non-germ issues for the purposes of this discussion.

I think you mentioned you were in school. Can you imagine what kind of nasty germs are running around there. :Puking_Smiley:
