Do you remember when the Challenger exploded?

I think that is the earliest news that I can remember.

I am afraid to tell my feelings on that because I remember it very well. People will think I am weird if I explain this situation. It was very upsetting for me.

HAHAHAHA Of course! I was in tenth grade you little whipper snapper. :laughing6:

My first memory of big news was when Elvis Presley died in August of 1977. I was watching T.V. It was a couple of weeks before I turned 7 years old. It interrupted the Price is Right.

Mullets were in style and if you were a girl, the bigger your hair the better (heck even if you were a guy for some) It only took about a half a can of Aqua net in the pink and white can. :innocent:

Do you remember when...

People would smile and say hello.

Cell phones were huge.

Atari 2600 was the bomb.

Commodore 64 was the computer to get.

8 tracks were the next best thing.

VHS was second to Betamax quality.

Cable was not offered.

when cable boxes were attached by a long cord.

Schwinn Stingrays were the coolest bikes ... banana seats.

The Olympics were every 4 years.

Mcdonalds competitor was Carols.

when Hot side was hot, cold side sold it was called the McDLT.

It was a luxury to have Air conditioning in your car.

people worked at the same company until they retired.

there was no call waiting.

Pagers were the "in" thing.

Zubaz pants were cool.

Feathered hair was hot.

People wore tube socks. pulled up to the knees and with the colored stripes.

You didn't have a remote for the t.v. and had to actually get up to change the channel. Most would watch crap shows for hours rather than get up to change the channel. :D
