I've been to the mountains many times. I spent a week canoeing and hiking from the paul smith area to the Saranac area i believe. I was just wondering where a place that is not visited much would be? I want to do another week long trip some time in the future and was just looking for ideas.

--blue mountain lake to tupper lake is a nice week or so long paddle..
---st regis wilderness canoe area is a nice cluster of remote ponds, would take just a couple days to explore
--any stretch of the northville-placid trail for a backpack trip is nice and you wont see tourists
