...york city.. :D? We are looking for a golden retriever or Italian grey hound breeder.. Anyone know where to find such a breeder?
My son who is 11 really wants an animal as a loyal friend and walking companion. He has suffered a lot and I feel that a Dog would be a great friend for him.

IG's are not always that great with kids, are delicate, and are hard to housebreak.
A Golden MAY be a better choice, IF you have done research and are fully informed about the breed.

Be very careful when buying from a dog breeder. You often end up with an in-bred dog, unless you want to spend $2,000.
You are MUCH better off walking through a few dog shelters and finding the PERFECT dog for your son. There are hundreds of thousands of dogs waiting for homes right now, especially due to the sudden housing market crash, which has lead many people to abandon their dogs.
