I just realized that I haven’t written in a while. I got home from Florida last week and am just hanging around waiting for my leg to heal which has cellulitis. That’s been a major worry and pain in the ass. Also, I got the shingles are which are just going away thank god.
On Friday I got a follow-up with an LPN the ER referred me to from there the LPN has to refer me to a wound care specialist. How nice, I get to pay for an extra office visit because of politics. It’s nice to be uninsured.

Get better Dan. Don't get me started on health insurance and what a rip off it is. I can't afford to get it. I am covered right now but will be losing it soon.

Health insurance is a joke! Hopefully our nation will fix that soon. I'm currently paying > $10,000 / year out of pocket for coverage.

Yeah, FL turned out to be the vacation from hell, I was in the ER 4 times. 3 times for this stupid leg and once for the shingles. My leg seems to be healing well, the ulcer is *almost* closed and color back to normal. My shingles have left nerve damage which nothing can be done for, except narcotic prescriptions. I'll take the pain over being strung out on Percocet. TYVM.

I got some rather nasty complications from the high end antibiotics I was prescribed but I'll spare you the details. :eek: Then, I had to cancel my LPN appointment due to today's weather.

Things aren't all bad though, I plan to go back to FL in early March or as soon as I get back to some semblance of heath and make the move permanent. I love NY but I'm so sick of this weather.. SW Florida is beautiful.

I haven't been spending too much time 'round these parts lately only because of my extended 2 month vacation in FL and being stuck on dial up the whole time. I should be around more often than.

Very good refusing the Percocet. Thats a nasty drug, then you have to get weaned off it. Its better to tough it out. :bowdown:
