What is the best time of year to visit Niagara Falls?

We definitely want to ride the Whirlpool Jet Boat so probably don't want to go when its cold but I hate crowds and would love to find a time to go when it isn't crowded. We will probably have to go on a weekend though since we can't get time off work and school.

Weekend + summer = crowded in Niagara Falls. But for some reason, everyone seems to completely ignore everyone else. It's not that bad (and I hate crowds).

Go on a hot day, as the mist from the falls will cool you off. If you can get there on a Friday night, enjoy the fireworks!
