While I already took advantage of Norton’s free upgrade to their 2008 version, Rob (http://snowbrain.com/wordpress/) just told me you can get Symantec Norton AntiVirus 2008 - 3 User (http://affiliate.buy.com/gateway.aspx?adid=17662&aid=10387770&pid=1166219&s URL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.buy.com%2Fprod%2Fsymantec-norton-antivirus-2008-3-user%2Fq%2Floc%2F105%2F205503904.html&cjsku=205503 904) for free after $54 in rebates. Sweet!http://www.afcyhf.com/image-1166219-10387770
I didn’t need it, but I bought it anyways. I’ll activate it once my current subscription runs out in September to give me another year of updates, or sell it on eBay (http://www.netnagel.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-affiliate-pro.php?id=4).

How do I hate Norton? Let me count the ways.... I paid for Norton about 4 years ago. PC picked up a virus due to a swine using my pc.

Norton would detect the virus (how thoughtful) yet it wouldn't delete or repair it. I had to call their 800 number, wait on hold for about 30 minutes to speak to someone that BARELY spoke a lick of English. We could barely understand each other. (if you owned a company can you see yourself thinking what a stellar idea to have this guy working the phones???) I had to repeat EVERYTHING that I said to him 2-3 times. He in turn would have to repeat EVERYTHING that he said to me 2-3 times. Did I fail to mention that I was being charged $50-$100 for this lovely experience?? ( I know it was 50 or 100 but it has been so long, I can't remember exactly)

Finally he talked me through it and the virus was taken care of. I felt a small twinge of satisfaction knowing that if I ran into another virus, I would know how to take care of it myself.

Well guess what? I ignorantly paid for Norton again the next year and of course it was "improved" from the year before. The next time my pc got a virus, they changed the way you get rid of them. I could no longer do it myself and would have to pay them AGAIN to take care of something that I was paying for in the first place!!! (virus protection) I did a total restore on my pc when I found that out and got McAfee. I would NEVER recommend Norton to anyone, ever!!! :censored1: Norton SUCKS!!!!!! I should probably stop holding back and tell you how I really feel about them. I'm going to get an ulcer holding in my feelings like this.

Being I only ever get hand me down pc's, Norton slows my pc's down to much. Until I can ever afford to get a new pc I will stick to something that keeps my pc stable and not so slow.

A lot of people who I shared this offer with complain about Norton. I agree: Norton sucks. HOWEVER, Norton AntiVirus is perfect for me. Don't use Norton 360, or Norton total internut security - just get Norton AntiVirus.

My only problem is when I have to renew my subscription with them, it's cheaper for me to buy a new product, than renew what I have already. Oh well - if that's the only problem I have with them, I'm doing pretty good.

Well check this out! Rather than pour money into making their products better, Norton has launched the Norton Brand Advocates site (http://www.nortonbrandadvocates.com) in an attempt to change the perception of Norton products in the market. Norton gives users incentive to post positive reviews and scores on various sites like Amazon and CNet. If you answer the 10 point survey with a 10 you can get in. So now rather than good old honest reviews which expose the real problems with products, nobody will know exactly what's good and what isn't any longer. Whatever happened to just listening to the customer and creating excellent products? Unreal. If the products and company were any good they wouldn't have this problem in the first place.
