I learned some nifty facts last night about Chinchillas from Cheech the Chinchilla (http://www.myspace.com/cheechchinchilla).

- Marble cooling blocks are good for their sensitive feet too
- Chinchillas need chew toys so they don't develop Mallaclussion (http://www.chinchillas.com/resource/malocclusion.htm)
- Chinchillas need aspen wood chips for bedding, pine chips can make them sick.

My Hubbies Pets:

Since his weekend job is a zoo keeper I will talk about his pets.

The ones that care about him the most are.

Sis the Tiger. She likes to be petted and cuddle up against him.
Nicole the Cougar. She likes to be petted and cuddle up against him.
Susie the Monkey. She likes to hold his hand, go through his arm hair with her fingers, wet her fingers with her mouth and then go through his arm hair to look for fleas. :rofl: She will lick his arm and hands.
A small kangaroo, when cleaning the kangaroo pen, follows along behind him wherever he goes. He can point towards the barn at night and say time to go in and the kangaroo follows him in. He used to have to run around the yard with it until it got tired.
Pug another monkey, pounds on the window at him and gives him the finger. :rofl:
Tiny small monkeys, wait to be feed then throw their peas at him.
Two cockatoo, A Amazon, a African Grey. The Amazon and African Grey talk alot to him (Zoo Birds)
A Owl with cataracts, he feeds dead mice to by hand because the owl can not see.
He has other animals also but those are the ones he interacts with the most.
Then he comes home to our Birdland. :innocent: :innocent:
