My name is Jodi. I was born and raised in Greece, Rochester,New York. I now live in Cookeville Tennessee but New York is a very important part of who I am today. Some of my fondest childhood memories were of Hamlin Beach and Ithica. As a young adult I raised Several children in the Spencerport,Brockport ,Hilton areas. We spent a summer in the Adirondak mountains fishing where i caught my first rainbow trout and my daughter Jessiiiiii , who hates camping and fishing kissed her first (and last) fish! :gah:Don't even try to deny it jessi..i have a photo of it which ,as soon as i get it out of storage ,i would love to post. Wish i could remember the area there so someone could send updates of it..would kinda hate to see it all grown up tho.
Another place i loved was Naples,NY. my brother used to own a few acres there and we went camping many weekends there. washed our hair under the falls..i can almost smell the fresh air! OOO i have pictures of Jessiii there too..lol we had to tie her into the swing to get her to stop whining about the outhouse...she really loves camping..lol !:yippee:
Anyways..hope to be visiting NY sometime in late summer early fall. I love New York!

let's hope my threats of bodily harm and blackmail were enuff. Or maybe the fact of her unorganized state of upheaval should suffice. Half the time she doesnt know where she is let alone pictures from 15 years ago. hahahahaha

These must be some pretty good pics!!! Actually I have no idea to which pictures she is referring, but let's suffice it to say I remember the camping trip of which I am scarred for life. I HATE camping with a passion. Give me a hotel room with hot water and electricity and I am a happy girl. Nature is cool but I prefer the luxuries of life when it comes to everday living. Pack six kids in a tent with guess who was jammed against the side when it rained? mmhmm. NO bathroom as a teenager? No electricity as a teenager? No cellphone or regular phone? OMG! No running water? OMG ! Cooking for all those people over a campfire.. are you kidding me? Do u smell what I am stepping in? And being the oldest daughter? Talk about the weekend from hell? Did I say that out loud?

You must like camping as much as I do. The dentist I use these words to when he is pulling a tooth. :censored1: and the gynocologist I was getting ticked at so I used my smart ass comments and said "You having fun down there or what." She looked up and had this weird expression and said "Not Really."

on a par with the dentist and the gynacologist.. yea

My Obgyn is a really nice lady don't get me wrong. And she wears extra small gloves... but c'mon can you possibly find anything more uncomfortable to pay someone to do to you on a yearly "good for you" basis?

Raven

Not really. :p Though I often wonder what the people who flop the boobs around all day doing the mammagrams think.

Never you mind bout that. Jodi is my mama. She lives in Tenesee and doesnt have a puter hooked up @ home yet so she goes to the libary to use it when she can. Trust me she will not mind. Actually she will find it funny and all. She will like it cuz she has OCD. So when she goes off subject I tell her " No squirrels" Cuz one day we were on the phone and she was in NY and she was like OMG I have not seen a squirrel in sooo long we dont have squirrels in Tenessee RIGHT in the middle of a sentence.

WOW, I should talk to here. I have OCDS........ You should read the book Brain Lock My doctor says I read to much that I diagnose myself before he has a chance too. :innocent: I love reading medical and psychology books. I even worked for a shrink for six years.

Yea but did it work? And are your diagnosis' correct? Did working for the shrink help or did it quack you up? (pun intended) And can you REALLY ever read too much? We went to the book sale @ the public library today. You could get a whole bag of books for $3.00 Talk about a deal.

Raven

Yes it worked. My family has a low seratonin level which to raise the seratonin level you need the type of antidepressants that has seratonin in it. Also OCDS when stressed or anything, you have neurotransmitters in your brain that gets locked which causes you to do the odd behaviour. I take antidepressant that unlocks that transmitter and kicks it back into gear instead of me sitting in neutral all the time. I do get some traces at times if I am tired or stressed but nothing like I did before.

For the shrink it helped working for him until he became emotional abusive. I then had to get outta there.

That is very interesting knowledge. So often when people educate themselves on whatever the subject they can find ways to improve their situation. Often they do. It is the ones who don't bother to educate themselves on the subject or who do know but don't do anything with the information that stump me.

My hubby is a drug and alcohol counselor so between me and him our place is filled with psychology books.

My brother told me that he set two pork chops out to thaw out and then him and his wife ran quick to vote and came back and the pork chops were gone. Their dog Tanner seemed to think they tasted good uncooked.
