We'd like to go there this summer, maybe camping. Where's a good town that'll have good things to see, activities. FYI - No kids going.

Isn't Lake George a popular location? I'd love to get up there sometime this summer... maybe do some geocaching :)

I love the moose river personally, great whitewater rapids to do for fun and some great campgrounds (http://www.hikercentral.com/campgrounds/108385.html) around. Just an idea.

Inlet, NY, offers 4th Lake, all water activites, walking/hiking/biking trails, eateries aplenty, waterfront room stays, small quaint and energetic community. Syracuse Symphony concert, July 4th kick off weekend, many camping areas available, and lots of good clean air!!!!!!!! Also there is an event September 13, 2008 for all that canoe or kayak or just want to know about women health and breast cancer, all registration information can be seen at mitasblog.blogspot.com, or go to the Inlet NY website I think thier link is inletny.com for all the updated calendar events, not commercialized, still small enough to care.

Inlet, NY, Rt 28 about 1hour and 20 minutes north of Utica, or 2 hours from Saranac Lake south. Meet us September 13, 2008 for a Susan G. Koman event, for women's awareness and our "One Square Mile of Hope" Guinness World Record Attempt to have more than 776 boats in the water within one square mile. We are trying to raise 25,000 for Breast Cancer information and awareness. Great little town with all the needed for a GREAT Vacation!!!!!!!
http://mitasblog.blogspot.com/ visit the link over yahoo search, Google just can't get to the link for some unknown reason.
Thanks to all that visit and get the information to come to Inlet, for our huge!!! event.

Western Central Adirondacks, :eek2: if you want to go walking, hiking, mountain biking, birding, canoeing, kayaking, sail boating, waterskiing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, not commercial, still quaint, and just a walk around town is all it will take in Inlet, NY Rt. 28, about 1 hour and 15 minutes north of Utica. Exit 31 on the thruway, and head north on route 8/12 and then rt. 28 at Alder Creek, and 40 minutes later your here. But it is all well worth the trip.. The food is great, the views from some of the summits are spectacular, and the air is clean and fresh. :yippee:Camping is also available, along with fishing, and if you want to fish for a one of a kind trout. Stillwater Reservoir is only a short distance away.
Come on up we would love to see you, and basically we are right in everyone in New York State's backyard:yay:
