I had 5 beers on Saturday and was in line to use the bathroom at a bar in Albany when a bouncer stood in front of me. I let him know the end of the line was in the back and that me and everyone else had to wait and he could to. Bad move he let me know then that I would be kicked out and my ass beat. The next thing I know I am being asked to leave which was fine as I made my way to the door which was so far away in the crowd I asked that the bouncer who threatened me stay back. As we are almost out the door I get hit. That was the first punch of a 6 minute beat down on me. I was dragged down by seven bouncers who continued to hit me until I was bleeding and hurt so bad that the owner came outside and asked what happened. When I let him know what happened he let me use his office bathroom to clean up. After cleaning up I decided to go to the police who called an amublance. No report was taken who can help me with what to do next????

Contact the manager of the bar and a lawyer and tell them about the police not filing a report. Lawyer first though to see if you have a case.

Wow, thats crazy! I hate power crazy bouncers. How is it that the police didn't file a report when they were called? That seems way out of protocol for them. What bar was it at (just curious) I miss Albany, I had great times there in college. Maybe friends could help collaborate your story but no matter what you need to get a report filed, call the police and ask them why they didn't file one to begin with would be my advice.

I would appreciate it if you posted which bar you were at . . .

Just a hunch, but could the bouncers be off-duty officers, which is why no police report was filed? Or the owner is a retired policeman?
Not that I'm paranoid or anything

I would say it really depends on which Bar, when I was in school @ SUNY A - it wasn't common, but it was certainly not unheard of to be treated poorly in certain bars depending on who you were, and more importantly who your friends were. For example with certain letters on I could walk into many certain bars and not have a problem. With those same letters on there were a couple of bars I really didn't want to go into ... from what I remember it wasn't really the bouncers, but the idiot townies you had to worry about . . .

Wow, I'm kind of surprised that this happened at McGeary's. I would have expected at much at some of the more college bars that I used to hang at.
