I'm Jim, and the owner and webguy for the TalkVirginia Community (http://www.talkvirginia.net)site. After Raven and Popowich have been wonderful in paying my site a visit and joining the fun down there, I wanted to return the favor and join everyone here.

Oh, I can see I'm going to have fun here... :D

I'm in the Northern Virginia area about 30 miles south west of DC, and about an hour from the Blue Ridge mountains. I've been living here most of my life and I thank you for your compliments on Virginia. :) Yes, it is a beautiful state. I'm just a bit disappointed that we don't get a lot of snow like you guys up north around Buffalo and all. Sometimes I'd like to go and level out the mountains out here so we can get some decent snow.

The snow is fun, but only for so long. I'd like for it to be 3 months max.

I like the change of seasons we get in New York, but I'd like them to be spread out more evenly.

There have been years where we went straight from summer to winter with about a week of fall, my favorite season.

Dang! I wish I could clone myself or something. Part of me want the snow but yet part of me wants to be the tropics like around the Florida keys. :banghead:
