I think it has to do with the ads. there is more ads somewhere.

I upgraded the vBulletin version to current a few days ago, but there should have been no functional changes. There will be many bug fix releases since we are running a beta/RC version software at the moment. I did ad two more ad spots last week. On the main page between the forums and statistics there is an adsense leaderboard, and under the thread list for any forum for example New York Chat (http://www.discussny.com/forumdisplay.php?f=44) there is one there too. I mentioned that change here (http://www.discussny.com/showthread.php?t=2849). Are the new ads what you are noticing?

Oh, ok, you're talking about the forum consolidation (http://www.discussny.com/showthread.php?t=2840) then.

Even with the new ad the length of the main forum page is still shorter.
