UGH! I am so in over my head with this client request LOL Has anyone implemented paypal payment pro on their websites using paypal NVP API? I downloaded their php version, since that the code I'm most familiar with but the directions are totally over my head. Was wondering if anyone had any luck getting this to work.:banghead:

My basic desire is, my client has one product that he will be selling(as soon as I get the site live) so I didn't want to use a shopping cart. I also wanted to have it so people can pay with their credit card without having to sign up for paypal, looking for the compulsive/quick buys. So paypal suggested the pro service which will allow this, and I can keep it website based through this NVP API method but I'm lost. Anyone have any experience with this?

Yes, I've used it before, but why not use Google's solution (https://checkout.google.com/sell/)? It's much easier to implement, IMO. The PayPal one is rather complex.

However, if you're going to use PayPal, look for a packaged solution that already does this. You should be able to get one for under $100.

I might have some code here that'll help you, but I guarantee its rather complex.

I did search all night for simpler solutions that will integrate it for me, I found one here: http://zenatdesign.com/PaypalProDemo/ emailed the guy to see if its still current and supported but of course no response. Everyone else I found wanted monthly rates plus hosting it (the script) on their site. I assume this is to get my list if I used it kind of weird. I think these type of scripts should be sold outright, one time price and its yours... but maybe its just me LOL

I appreciate the offer, but any code would definitely be over my head. I'm just a designer and know enough code to get myself in trouble typically LOL. Worst case scenario I guess is I can hire someone at freelancer for $40 to install it for me, but we'll see if this script guy writes me back I'd probably just buy that. I hate bad CS, I like quick responses.
