My partner is not canadian nor PR. She's in the process for PR but we've been told this cases take a long time. We have a baby who is canadian born. Every so often my partner goes to US, renovates her visa and returns. As she's not allowed to work she stays home with our baby. I'm canadian.
Should I include her in my 2007 Income tax? We've been told for her PR process (and even after she becomes PR) she must "stay out of any trouble" with the canadian goverment so we're afraid if including her in the income tax may lead to any problems with her PR process (or even more delays).
On the other hand, even though se has no income we're afraid that not including her and only adding out baby may lead to any investigation from CRA and be seen as an omission or tax fraud.
