Ugh, Mom's Day is almost here which I don't care much about personally but I typically have my girls make gifts for their Grandmas... anyone have any good ones they've made or received in the past? I'm running out of ideas! Going to Google now to dig something up hopefully, but I thought maybe someone in here has a great idea.
This one (http://jas.familyfun.go.com/arts-and-crafts?page=CraftDisplay&craftid=10516) is cute...and look pretty quick LOL

I may sound like a grinch here but why do people think Grandmother's should get a Mother's day gift from their grandchildren?? If they raised them, fine, they should get the Mother's day gift/card whatever. I'm the mother of my ship and nobody else is getting a Mother's day gift! (except for Ray -he bought himself a dishwasher but since he bought it, it's ok :laughing6:)
Bonus: I get to use it.

I have to agree, but for me its a way to kind of avoid coming up with my own gift. My mom loves gifts from the kids so I put them to work for me

I've read that many times, makes sense but I can't cite it off hand where I've seen that to back it up.

I also do this, but every couple years I surprise my Mother and buy fresh flowers from the market, and drive 120 miles to see her. This year is the year to get flowers and make the drive. It always makes her feel special. Plus I get a great home cooked meal usually.

Since I live here with my parents and take care of their everyday needs. And I see my parents try to ask my other siblings for help and they are always pulling the "I am to busy card" I do something for the everyday. The others come in on holidays and bring them a gift that the parents go, WTF is this, to me after they leave. Well not exactly in those words. But, you get my drift. So what I am saying is I give myself everyday to make sure their needs are met. I know my parents have said several times, give something of yourself or from the heart not the wallet.
