Question for the members...

I admit, I live on the "new posts" button whenever I come her but I've noticed on this forum even if you click 'new posts' don't read any of them then come back later to resfresh it, it acts like you read all those posts. Other forums I've been on don't delet new poss until you actual open the thread.

I think this is why I miss so many posts and don't respond because I just stick to replying to new posts. Anyone else have this issue or is it just me and my bad habit of living in 'new posts button world'?:ohthedrama:

Is it the combination of automatic database marking + unread posts causing the difference?

If you visit, timeout, and come back, unread posts are still unread, but no longer new.

Yeah you can still click unread posts again and any you haven't read will still be there. They just won't show up saying new unread posts. Did I explain that well?
