This is a question for anyone from Buffalo, NY or WNY?

As a Canadian living across the border, I would like to know why people in Buffalo are so hostile to Canadians? Even when WGRZ has to do a report on something Canadian related, they make biased and almost anti Canadian. I never before though people in WNY disliked Canadians so much, but after visiting a Buffalo community forum website and observing some of the posts, I was shocked at some of the comments I saw about us "stupid canucks".

I can't speak for people from Buffalo because I am from Rochester. I can only say that quite a few years ago, I went to Niagara Falls to a club and the Canadian people were downright rude to my group of friends. A couple of the guys were in the restroom and the Canadian men were telling them to go back to New York. I was in shock. I didn't realize that Canadian people didn't like us. I didn't realize they were prejudice against us until I went there that time. Of course I don't think all Canadians hate us but there are definitely some that do. I have nothing against Canadians and I really like it there. I can't speak for anyone else. I have never heard anyone here say they didn't like Canadian people.
