I have 3,500 in a brokrage account and another 1,800 in my savings. I make aobut 150 a week and i keep losing in the stock market because my dad chose bad investments. Should i take the loss of about $450? I really need money for college but i'm only 16 so i have a few more years to save. Should I make my dad pay for the difference? Should I invest more? Any good suggestions of stocks to invest in? I think that the market looks bad right now but i don't know because this is the first time i have invested.

You could talk to your dad about this, but I would still do nothing with your account all the same. Im not surprised your account is hurting right now, as most people's are too. If your father is the custodian, than when you are 18 the account will be your's...and that being said, I would not touch anything in your account until than anyways.
The market will rebound, as it always does. And if a recession is in the near future (i certainly believe so) than when you hit 18 the rebound will be in effect. So I would suggest you sit tight and be patient.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, get off you butt and read some books on investing...start with Cramer's books and start watching MadMoney...just to get an Idea of what is out there and what to do. This way, when you are old enough to weld this sword you will be compentent enough to use it!
Good luck!
Hope this helped.

Mad Money? Ugh. Entertaining though. :D The Fast Money Five is OK too.
I prefer fool.com and use their news letters.
If you have an issue with the individual picks, and considering how much time is on your side, can't really go wrong with SPY or an equivalent fund.

The above is good advice, except that Cramer is really more crazy (or mad) entertainment for sophisticated investors than sound investment advice. You might look at

You should talk to your dad because he is undoubtedly the account custodian.
