I was trying to upload smilies to Maryland Chat Forum and I got this error

The path I was using was images/smilies

It should probably be /images/smiles :)

To further expand if you have lots of smilies already it easiest to make a sub folder of smiles and upload the new ones to that folder this way you can just add all smilies from the directory instead of hunting and pecking for what's already added and what's not.

I can't look because I never got the password from my hosting company. :p Ray I used to always upload it to images/smilies and now all of a sudden can't :(

You are correct. It's smilies. I gave the web server access to write to that folder. You should be able to upload new smilies to it now.
