The DiscussNY Summer Contest 2008 is here! The contest starts tomorrow Saturday June 14th and runs until the end of the day on August 31st. The winner will be determined by the point system described below. Additional prizes may be added to this contest. Please refer your friends and others to DiscussNY but do not mass spam people you do not know! Also, please do not flood the forums with copy/paste content. Useful tidbits when relevant and on topic to a discussion are OK. :)
1st Place is $100 and your choice of any 3 items from the DiscussNY Online Store (http://www.cafepress.com/discussny)!
How to earn points:
New post/reply - 1 point
New Thread - 5 points
You can watch the post and thread counts on the Top Posters (http://www.discussny.com/statistics.php?forum=0&stats=topposters&show=15) page.
Refer a new member to DiscussNY - 15 points
Refer a new member who makes at least 10 posts - 25 points
You can watch the number of referrals on the Refer-a-Friend (http://www.discussny.com/referrers.php?) page.
Link to DiscussNY.com from another blog or site - 10 points
Write about DiscussNY.com in your personal blog - 10 points
If you create a link/blog to DiscussNY please private message (http://www.discussny.com/private.php?do=newpm&u=8) me the URL.

I'm looking for the kind of content that makes members login and think "I wonder what member X posted about today!". If you are, or refer this person to DiscussNY, you'll earn a $50 bounty prize! The prize is limited to the first 3 members that I determine have been long term quality original content posters. There is a total of $150 in special bounty prize money that may be awarded!
