Hello,

What pranks did you pull as a kid?

What are the pranks kids do today?

I occasionally did the doorbell ditch, but not often.

My favorite was a 3-way calling prank. Back in the 80's before caller-ID was common we had 3-way calling on our home phone. What I would do is call up one of our neighbors, quickly push the button, call a second neighbor, hit the button again, and then be able to listen to the funny conversation. You'd end up with them both thinking the other one made the call, or one of them would think the other persons answering machine developed AI and called their house. :D

Ahhhh the good old days when you could prank call! I wasn't much of a prankster as a kid I don't think, but I'll search my brain.

I do like to prank my kids now though. The best, according to them, that I've done is we went for a walk at our local duck pond, and next to it was an outside stage area for events. We climbed onto the stage back and the kids were excited to pretend to go on stage, but before they could go forward I told them to not walk through the two metal beams to get on the stage or they'd get shocked. They looked at me thinking I was joking so I said "Don't believe me?"

I walked through the two beams and shook like I was being shocked and they freaked out until I laughed..... Ok, maybe it was in bad taste but my kids are getting harder to fool. After that they started walking through and pretending they were being shocked too.

I never did pranks as a kid.

When my kids were growing up, I loved to pull pranks on them. I think my favorite is when my son was 13 and my daughter was 16.

There was this place called Pig Woman Lane. There was a tale that said a bunch of teenagers terrorized the old woman and her house burnt down. And this one run off was always wet and was suppose to be her blood but it was a spring that always had running water going down hill.

I put my own twist to it and told my daughter that on the bridge at the bottom of the hill that if you stopped on the bridge and ran around the car three times the old woman would come out from under the bridge and get the kids.

We were in my daughters convertible and I had my son get out and run around the car. My daughter was freaking thinking that the old lady was going to come out from under the bridge. We went really late at night. I was out in the middle of nowhere. My son only got around the car twice when another car was coming and since it was a one lane bridge we had to go quickly.

My son and I were always pulling pranks on my daughter because she was so gullible like that.

I guess I was mean.

as a kid? what about now? heheh
my son was coming down a tunnel slide in the MickeyD's playland. It was about his 4th time down and I stood beside the end of the tunnel where he couldn't see me. When his toes appeared at the end of the tunnel, I peeked in real quick with a "BOO!" hehhe..he screamed like a little girl and then laughed.

I helped tape down everything on a co-workers desk. His stapler, hole punch, pen holder, phone, you name it. He wasn't amused though.

April Fools day, I snuck into the coat closet before my boss got there (I could see her walking outside). When she opened up the door, there I was with a "Good Morning!" I guess I woke her up!

I'm sure there's more, but too tired to think right now....sleepies have finally found me!

Oh, just remembered one. I used to be able to make the phone ring from within the house. This is pre-internet phone, so I'm not sure this one still works. You dial 981, then the last four digits of your phone number. You get a dial tone. Then press the flash button, and you then hear a higher pitched tone. Hang up the phone...and it rings! My dad would answer the phone....It was funny to count how many times he said "hello" before he hung up.

LOL, she had replaced my old supervisor, so I had to train her on how to supervise me ....we got along really well, though...she was cool.

(I had a new supervisor every 6 months, they didn't last long as they were direct reports to the CEO, very intense position.)

What about the one where you tell someone to listen to a song or watch a video and a scream comes out and a scary face is there? Thats classic. I think kaos can relate?

Many years ago when I was 9, the family that lived across the street moved out after living there for many years. The mom & dad had 7 kids and I was friends with them all. I was especially close to 'Helen' my age and grade. We were best buds. She could play whiffle ball, football etc. I loved her before I knew what love was. A new family moved in. The 2 parents had 2 older kids who were no fun to mend were never around anyway. One day I was feeling blue. I missed my long time friends and kinda blamed the new dad for them moving. I'll get him, just so happens there was a church bulletin with 5 or 6 pizzerias ads on it. Got out the telephone book added 3 more. In Brooklyn there's lotsa pizzerias. Ordered this new Dad on the block 8 or 9 pizza deliverys and watched him go nuts from my window. I was 19 yo college guy when I saw Mr. Smith checking out his new Volvo, he & I had become friends and I confessed what I did and why. We had a good laugh. As for Helen she came back fro m PA 15 years later to visit.....all 400lbs of her. Must eat well in Pennsylvania.

Well i don't have a prank, but my mom and dad were pranked by a friend one time.
My parents were on vacation for about a week, when they got home they realized something was different. When they walked in the house every thing was flipped upside down from pictures to tables to couches every thing was upside down so they thought they were loosing it until they realized a note on the counter. It was from a couple of good friends they had who flipped every thing on them. So they weren't going crazy after all. :laughing6:
