It's a disgrace that the program designed and promoted as the answer to the working poor families answer to health insurance does not let a family address a youths mental health or substance abuse issues. What? Only the rich can have services? Fortunately, I have good insurance and don't need these services for my kids, (now?!) but it bothers me to realize there are families who struggle and the State insurance program won't help them because it was one way to control the expense to the state. What do you think? This will lead teens into troubles that will cost the state a lot more in jail expenses! Penny wise, pound foolish!
