My laptop LCD screen is broken, It looks as though there is a few cracks. sometimes the pixels look as though there is ink on the screen.

Anyways, I contacted a repair guy on craigslist (love craigslist). He said he could repair it for 200.

now I know for $300 more I could get a new equivalent laptop.

But $200 is much cheaper than $500

Now I have someone who would buy my laptop as is for 150-200

So I am in a dilemma, as to what route I should go.

any suggestions would be great.

I would not really trust the repair job, and would definately get rid of it as quickly as possible. Its been quite a few years since I've looked into it, but it always used to be cheaper to replace the laptop than to fix a screen.

I'm always in favor of a new computer. I guess it depends on how old is the current one? If its a few years old you may end up repairing it, thinking you're saving some money and then end up having something else go wrong that you'd have to repair...you know what I mean??:comp26:

plus nothing beats a clean computer, when you start it up for the first time and theres only like 2 icons on your desktop...but maybe thats just me :yippee:
