I just ordered one of these (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=2487787&sku=L23-7244&SRCCODE=WEM1661BY&cm_mmc=Email-_-Main-_-WEM1661-_-50under50) (not aff. link). For $30, I don't see how you can go wrong! Laura uses a cheap set of speakers for her iPod in the kitchen & it sounds horrible. Now we can replace the radio in the kitchen & hook the iPod up to it!

Wow, that is one cray sale price! I wish i had external speakers for mine so I could use it when I'm picking up the house and trying to keep the kids motivated to help me out.

We got ours this week (really fast shipping - like 2 days & it was here!) and hooked it up today. Loved it so much I ordered a 2nd one for my office. The radio is a little quiet compared to the iPod (maybe the volume on the iPod is too high?) but the radio does have the RDS information (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_Data_System) which is a neat feature. Finding a digital tuner on a shelftop system is rare.
