Logo?

I remember a thread starting about designing a logo, but I couldn't find it. The only one I found was a picture logo, which I didn't make.

Had some down-time this am, and wanted to play.....

There were a couple kinds of graphics contests in the Contests Forum (http://www.discussny.com/forumdisplay.php?f=70).

The gear one I paid out, but if you want to make another one I'm more than happy to have it added to a t-shirt and shipped to you, and leave it available for others to buy one.

ah....was thinking you were looking for something on the banner, so it didn't look like the NY gov pages.

I mentioned that too! I wouldn't want to ever be associated with NYS gov...not trusting of how they would react to you use their work...but I've had corporate America issues before so I've grown somewhat timid about this stuff.

I'm willing to entertain new logo ideas. I think the only requirements are that it be a small file size, not too tall (don't want it eating up 1/2 the page on lower resolutions), and that it works with the existing DiscussNY Blue style. I'd also like to get the sunset from the logo picture contest (http://www.discussny.com/showpost.php?p=2217&postcount=2), and maybe something outdoors from the geocaching album such as the rainbow sprinkles (http://www.discussny.com/album.php?albumid=27&pictureid=209) picture.

That is a SWEET pic Beck. Is it a p.i.t.a. to change the color of the state to something other than green?

probably....I didn't like the green either. I did that real quick with publisher. No photoshop here, but I could play with it more at home.
I also had other ideas to go with a longer and more narrow banner theme too....
