Discuss New York is running a posting contest from now until March 01, 2008! Every post that you make between now and 11:59pm on February 29th will earn you an entry into winning the $50. Every new thread that you start or post reply that you make is a chance to win! To be eligible to win all you need to do is make 1 post and have referred at least one friend (http://www.discussny.com/referrers.php?) to DiscussNY. Administrators and Moderators are not eligible to win the contest. The odds of winning are dependent on the number of threads/posts that you make, and the total number of eligible threads/posts created during this time. I made referrals a bonus for this contest. Maybe I can do a separate referrals contest too. The problem is that I have done them in the past. You get some extra sign ups for the month, but those are people who are usually pestered into registering by friends and who never come back. Referrals that become posters are the valuable ones! ;)

I don't have this person as a referral but she keeps coming back because we have become friends and we PM each other every day. I have been teaching her about the forum because she was unsure how to use it. She is from Italy and coming to NYC in April.
