I've been thinking about moving to Rochester, but I heard there is some pretty bad crime there and it isn't safe to live in certain parts of the city. I was wondering, what parts are good, or at least decently livable? Is the whole community at risk? Am I better off living in a suburb? Someone please help me.

This is kind of a loaded question. There is an area of the city which is labeled the "cresent". According to police statistics this is where most of the violent crimes take place. Some nice neighborhoods in the city are the Park ave and Corn Hill areas.

You need to decide what works for you. Something close to your work or close to the hotspots (clubs and bars). And always keep in mind that crime happens EVERYWHERE!
