I grew up in the small town of Castile (http://www.epodunk.com/cgi-bin/genInfo.php?locIndex=347), New York. (population around 1,000) It is a very small town where everyone either knew everyone or they were related somehow. My Grandfather was the mayor for years.

I lived a few miles from the Castile (http://www.epodunk.com/cgi-bin/genInfo.php?locIndex=347) entrance of Letchworth State Park (http://www.letchworthpark.com/) I used to ride my bike there when I was a kid. I know that I mentioned this before, but when you live so close to something like that, you tend to take it for granted. I never realized how lucky I was at the time to live so close to a place that people drive hundreds of miles to visit. It is really beautiful there. My favorite time of year to visit is the fall when all of the leaves are changing color. It is fun to go tubing and ice skating in the winter too.

My mother in law used to live there. She lives in Perry now. She has about 20+ acres backing up to the Park. It's beautiful and we love spending time out there, but with the price of gas tripling in the last ten years we don't get to go every other day like we used to. We do however enjoy it when we can. Tents and sleeping outside, 4-wheeler rides, bow and arrows, guns. The kids and I have a great time.

Sounds like fun. Let me know when you are heading out there sometime when it gets warm out again. We could have a two family picnic at the park. I could get a few people in my family to go that live down there. It would be a good time. :)

It seems to be backwards this year, but I thought gas usually gets cheaper after thanksgiving and goes up for the summer.

Any sentence that you write "I think" or "I thought" is never good. (not to mention I can usually smell smoke.
