View Full Version : Anyone remember New York City having the ground pressure caused by pedestrians...

...being converted into energy? I cant really remember where but I remember it being said somewhere either in popular science or the la times that New York city had placed these large weight sensor like things at the bottom of New York City to tap into the daily pressure on the ground caused by people walking over the ground. If anyone can shed any light as to where I can find that article or have any idea where it appears online, I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

Although theoretically possible, I doubt such a system would be efficient or even be able to cover it's own costs.
