I never had a cold sore outbreak for 2 consecutive years. During those years, I would do aerobic exercise on an elliptical trainer for 50min to 60min, 6days per week. I would burn about 700 to 1000 calories. I started exercising everyother day for 1hour and I have had cold sore outbreaks ever since. Does regular exercise help prevent cold sore outbreaks?

I believe that you will be generally more healthy if you eat well and exercise regularly.

There is nothing you can do about getting a small cold once in a while though.

cold sores (http://www.valtrex.com/coldsores/whatis_coldsore.html) can be prevented by not exposing yourself to the virus in the first place. I have NEVER had a cold sore in my entire life. Don't be kissing people that have viruses!!
