I am 16 years old, 5'6", and weigh about 145. First of all, is this a healthy weight? I am overally happy with my body but I have noticed that I gain weight in my thighs and bottom. I would like to lose weight in this area. I have had chubby thighs since 5th grade, so maybe most of it is muscle, but still, how can I trim this area? I believe I am a healthy eater but often times I will feel hungry and then splurge on something like chocolate to feel satisfied. I am unsure of how much to eat to lose weight but still feel satisfied. Also, with homework and everything I barely have time to exercise. So, for a teenager trying to live a healthy lifestyle, what do you suggest? Where should I start?

Self control; there is no acceptable excuse for lack of exercise or poor food choices
If you accept that statement then it is a process of attention to details and making conscious decisions about everything.
A lot of little steps in a long education/experimental process to find out what works best for you.

Don't try to do too much too fast.

You'll be more successfull if you make several small changes over time.
