Hi buddies, I want to apply for a government grant for my daughter who just started college. But everyone wants a fee to do all the paper work. What do these agencies usually charge and how can I apply for the monies myself. I’m on disability and low income, so I’m interested in monies that we don't have to pay back. Please help me.

Hello,
I received the following response from someone who does grant writing:
This person is right about people who charge fees for filling out applications. However, if someone is low income and on disability there is a better chance to receive money. First go back to the daughter's high school guidance department for money assistance ideas. Usually your local library has a thick book with "scholarship information. Also, contact the college for financial aid information.

If you still need help in finding the answers, send me a PM with the college and high school information. You do not have to give me your daughters name. I can contact the schools under the Kids Defense Team name www.kidsdefenseteam.com (http://www.kidsdefenseteam.com) and get the information you need. It may also lead to other grants and pell grants that you would be eligible for. This is one of the many things Kids Defense Team does for people. We are a non profit organization and we have no fees, everything is free.
