DiscussNY Logo Picture Contest

We are looking for pictures to use in the DNY homepage graphic. Wouldn't it be neat to see a picture that you took used for the homepage? There are already a few that are in the gallery (http://www.discussny.com/photoplog/) that are worthy of nominating.

~you will need to disclose the exact location the picture was taken and of course silly it has to be in NYS. :p

~pictures can be nominated by anyone but will only be accepted if the person that posted the picture in the gallery agrees to it being considered for the contest and used for the homepage.

~ final decisions will be made by administrators and moderators (if you nominate a picture, a brief explanation of why you think it should win might help in the final decision)

~We would like members to have the chance to brainstorm some ideas for pictures that catch the true essence of NYS and also time to get out there and take them. For this reason, we are not posting a deadline for the contest right now. We will announce that at a later time.

These are two of my personal favorites so far.

I'll look around and see if I can find a Letchworth picture that would work well as one of the small squares in the logo.

I have one I took of the twin towers before they got taken down by terrorist. I will have to see if I can find it.

So far, my fave is patriotsguy view from their cottage. The colors are brilliant. Nice pic!

It never fell through the cracks. I want to post pictures too. I was waiting for some good weather and photo ops. (lilac festival etc) :)

*BUMP* Still no deadline set. Just a reminder to get some pictures in!! Patsguy had a pic in the running and hasn't been on in awhile. I am going to have to come up with some tough rules. (like must have posted within 15 days of the contest deadline :p)
