Has anyone taken any online classes through Empire State University in New York State? If so, were the classes extremely difficult/time consuming?

Yes and YES!!!
So far I have taken 6 classes through them. 2 or 3 of them took far more time each week than the college guide book said they should. It's good in a way because you are learning a lot, most of the time. But it doesn't make sense that it is so time consuming in a programmed designed specifically for adults with other responsibilities.

I did online classes through the University of Phoenix Online.
They were time consuming, but not very difficult.

I took a couple classes through Empire too, I thought the work was just tedious and time consuming. I never felt like it was hard though, but that could obviously be class specific. I think its a nice option for adults and others who want to finish a degree to be able to do so online, but I think that there is a misconception that online college is somehow easier then regular attendance in a classroom. I found classroom work alot easier personally.

I did my entire MBA through University of Phoenix. It was very time consuming, but like Ray said, not that hard. I should have it paid off by the time I'm 80 or so.

Just don't take Kaplan U classes. They promise you the world, take your money and give you nothing.
