|  My son is engaged My son and his girlfriend got engaged on Christmas Eve after only going out together for 7 months. He is totally smitten and so is she, I do worry they are both too young (20) but I do think shes lovely. I really like her, and whilst Im still a little jealous that my baby boy has grown up, at least he has a lovely young woman.  |

 | Re: My son is engaged Congrats to you, your son, and your son to be daughter n law. Mr. Unc and I only dated for a few months when he proposed to me. We dated and were married in less then a year. We also were only 19 and 20 at the time. We have been married for 8 1/2 years this coming June will be our 9th anniversary. Sometimes love can just get ya good.

| Re: My son is engaged I am happy for them! JW and I dated for eight months before we were married, I was 19 and he was almost 20. Our thirtieth anniversary will be in November of this year! |

| Re: My son is engaged Congrats to the happy couple and you. Mr. Raven and I only dated a few months before I kind of proposed first. I told him if he did not propose soon I was going to propose for him. Couple hours later he said "When we getting hitched". That was enough of a proposal for me. I did not need a ring or anything fancy. We got married 6 months to the day of our first date. We did know each other in high school though but lost touch with each other for many years. We just celebrated 10 years of marriage. We are very happy. |

| Re: My son is engaged well, I don't know about the length of time they've known each other part, but as for age- every couple I've known who've had very long, very solid marriages got married between 18-23 yrs old... & that basically sums up nearly everyone I've known throughout my lifetime. Congratulations and best wishes for a long happy lifetime together for the both of them! |
