I havent watched the Jerry Springer show for many years. When I did used to tune in occasionally, it was always a bit of a freakshow, with the strangest people, but there was discussion for the majority of the show with only fights breaking out perhaps at the end etc.

Last night on some obscure Sky channel they were showing Jerry Springer all night and I thought I'd tune in. I was quite shocked by how the show has now become. OK theres always been a similar subject matter ie; a guy having a girlfriend finds out its really a man, a mans wife for 20 years finds out shes a porn star, the guy married to the horse!! But last night I couldnt believe it. there was basically about 5 minutes of chatting, and even in this time Jerry kept bringing people onto the stage like mime artists and so you couldnt concentrate anyway on what was being said, but the fighting............ They actually ring a bell now and people go and fight, I just couldnt believe it. why not just have a boxing match and be done with all the pretense of a discussion.

I was also very freaked out by regulars that join Jerry on stage, in the main a disabled guy called Kenny who only has a head, a chest and two arms and nothing else. It was very very disturbing. Parading disabled people around like freaks,albeit I expect the guy was happy to be there and being paid etc, but all this in the name of entertainment. I didnt find it amusing or interesting in the slightest. And the accents, I couldnt understand a word anyone said.

Bizarre! I dont even know what to say. I always hated his show and I heard many, many times that the shows were scripted and weren't real anyways.

I think they are scripted, theres no way people would go on there and just start fighting, ok a few would but not every single show.

Also what I cant believe is, if peeps are going on the show to fight,why do they wear low cut tops, if it was me id wear police riot gear.

I think the best show I ever saw was the Klu Klux Klan one. It was disgusting and very scary actually and Jerry was upset and angry but it was compelling viewing and whilst I dont agree or support the fanatics, its sometimes interesting to hear their views and how they try and pretend that violence is ok.
