| Hello, I had a new furnace and air conditioner installed this past spring by Isaac Heating and Cooling in Rochester, NY. As part of the work they had to shut off the gas. When they were done they did not relight the pilot light in my hot water tank. I noticed a day later and figured out how to get it back on and everything was OK. I did not think much of it at the time. A few weeks later Theresa's mom has work done by Isaac. The same thing happened to her but in in reverse, they worked on the Hot water and turned off the furnace. When they were done they did not turn the furnace back on and when she called about not having any heat they billed her over $100 for the second visit. I complained to Isaac when I heard the story and I believe she got some sort of gift certificate / credit / refund. But the situation leaves me wondering, how many other people are out there who were billed for a second visit by Isaac because of a leftover problem from the work done during their first visit? If you are out there and this happened to you too please let us know! -Raymond

| ^will work for caffeine | Sounds kind of screwy to me. You cut the gas/fuel you relight the pilot you dumb $#$&. Don't charge me for your stupidity/laziness. Even my local propane company, Fallsburg Gas goes what I consider to be above and beyond when they swap out our tank they always come up and offer to relight the oven and burner pilots. That's pretty nice of them considering most people have electric ignitions these days. |

| My mom had her work done before Ray had work done here. I called her and told her that when I got up in the morning for work there was no hot water. Ray had talked to someone that he works with and realized that the hot water heater was turned off because they worked on the furnace. When I told my mom that, it triggered her to realize that about a month earlier she had work done on her hot water tank and the next day the furnace was not working and had to call them back. After speaking to me about what happened to Ray, she realized the same thing happened to her in reverse. They came back and turned her furnace on for her. She got a bill for around $118.00. She called them about it and they sent her a credit. What would she use a credit for any time soon? Not to mention that is highly unethical. They had to know they shut it off in the first place. I would think when they went there the next day, they would know that. When she told me they mailed her a credit to have other work done sometime I told her to call them and complain because that is unethical. They billed her for a "mistake" ?? they made. (I use the word mistake loosely because it is pretty suspicious to me) After quite a bit of complaining, they reluctantly sent her a refund. I just find it hard to believe that out of the two people I know that used them they "forgot" to turn things back on when they left. Had Ray not known how to light the hot water tank, he would have called them and paid them to turn it back on not knowing they were the ones that shut it off if his friend hadn't told him that's what they do. I would have never mentioned it to my mom and none of us would have any idea this was going on.
